Fred is coming along... slowly.

Fred is feeling better each day. He still has a cough but it sounds much drier, his lungs sound clear and no temp.
Today he wore his harness for the second time and we went out onto the driveway for the first time. I put Fred down and held the leash ready for him to try walking.... he stood for almost 10 minutes without moving anything but his head. He first started to look around using only his eyes, then there were slight head movements. The street must have seemed huge and scary to him. He is fine when out in our small enclosed backyard but there was just too much space out front. He never did take a step and I picked him up to go back inside. Maybe tomorrow. He does seem more comfortable with our dog when doing new things so we will bring Molly along for his next venture out front. Baby Steps!!!! Fred has 5 years of doing nothing to make up for and he does seem eager to try.
