Fred seems to be more comfortable here and is getting braver every day. He still startles easily but comes to a held out hand with a wagging tail. He is becoming more playful, checking out the dog toys and following our dog around and occasionally play bowing to get her to play. Fred still spends a lot of his day resting on a very plush dog bed. He does get excited when we work in the kitchen especially near his meal times. He bounces around in anticipation.
We are continuing the leash training and he wears the harness around the house. He still finds the open street intimidating but has ventured off our property on his leash.
Fred needs lots of patience but will learn all these things in time and make a great companion in a quiet home.
