Fred- poor wee guy!

Fred was coughing occasionally on Sunday when he arrived, but by Monday morning he was coughing a lot and expectorating some frothy white stuff. For the next 36 hours this continued and we spend most of that time following him around mopping up the spit. I spent most of Monday night up with him. Tuesday night he slept a bit better or maybe I was so tired that I didn't hear him coughing. On Tuesday most of the coughing had stopped and he rarely coughed anything up. I sure hope that he is feeling better. He is such a quiet dog that it is hard to tell. He is accepting pets and cuddles better and follows me where ever I go and wags his tail .... all good signs.
Fred has come to enjoy a large spongy dog pillow that he nows climbs on himself. These luxuries are all new to him and it is so rewarding to see him try new things.
The cracks in our sidewalk are baffling to him and he feels compelled to jump over them. He is experiencing new things all the time that you would expect other dogs to already know. Each day brings something new. Today he came in the ground level door all by himself!

Part way through Fred's Grooming

Relaxing on my new bed.

Keeping cool outside!
