Lotti has started Leash Training
Lotti has never walked on a leash before and it is time that she starts to learn
this. It will give her the opportunity to see what the big wide world has to
offer! The first few times that we went out in front of the house Lotti would
not move at all. She just sat there staring around her (she will walk a bit on a
leash in the backyard where the area is smaller). It took about 6 times just
sitting there for 5-10 minutes before she could bring herself to take a step. We
walked about 30 feet. It is slow going, but repetition should see her walking
soon. Lotti continues to sleep through the night in a dog bed on our bed and is
no problem at all. She waits for us to get up in the morning and goes right
outside to do her business, then comes in for breakfast. She is a great eater
and finishes off her food quickly. Lotti has started to take treats from our
hand, but is still hesitant about it. If she is taken our every 2-4 hours we do
not have many accidents in the house, but she does not indicate when she needs
to go. Lotti is a very sweet girl.
