Lilly has been here for just over a month now and we feel she is ready to find her forever home. This home will need to be prepared to work with her on trust issues. She certainly has her favourite people and those who she does not totally trust. With time and patience she will learn to trust. We had a trainer in and he felt that she had fear issues. We do not know her full history. She does not trust me totally and still will not let me pick her up. She gives warning signs. As she lets me do everything else we feel it is better for her to get to her final home and build that solid trust with them.
Lilly will need to go to an experienced owner who is willing to work with her on her trust issue. She may need more training, but she should do well in the right situation. Lilly is a lovely dog, with a wagging tail, and a love of going outside in the yard or walking. She is quiet most of the time and wants to be near us. She sleeps well overnight, is a bit of a picky eater, will take treats nicely and is so deserving of a great home.
Lilly is a very sweet looking gal. I don’t believe in letting these little ones out in a yard by themselves.
ReplyDeleteI live in the same city as the foster. I would love to be able to meet her. Just to see if she would approve of me, a widow, dog lover.
