Pinky is settling In
Pinky has been here a week now and is doing well. She is making good progress: she can now go out the patio door, down three steps and to the grass and return on her own. I do need to lead the way, but she does this without following on leash now. If kept on a schedule she is doing well with house training and is starting to play with toys. She is now confident enough to use any of the dog beds that are spread around the room we spend most of our time in. In the evening she is happy to stay on the bed with us watching TV and is accepting lots of pets. We have started to walk around the block and she does very well, but we haven't been tested by meeting other people/animals along the way. She still has times when she does get fearful, mostly when we try to pick her up, but that is getting to be less and less often. It will take time, but she has the potential to become a lovely addition to a quiet home.
