It has just been a week since Misty arrived and she is doing really well. She is more confident than Lyric and is mastering things more quickly. Misty can go up and down the 3 deck steps to get to the backyard and enjoys exploring there. She does know that she should do her business there too, but still has accidents in the house. We actually went for a small walk this morning and she followed along fairly well. Up until this point it was a few steps and then look around and we did not get far. Today she was very interested in the leaves that blew around and met 2 small kids. She was tentative but did approach them and allowed herself to be petted. It won't be long until we make it around the block.
Misty likes to sleep close to Lyric and is never too far away from her, so she will need a companion dog in her new home. She enjoys toys and has discovered chew toys now that they can be out (Lyric had dental extractions, so all hard toys were off limits). She is a very happy go lucky girl!
