Gabby arrive via the Open Arms Transport this morning. She spent yesterday and this morning traveling from the vets in Ohio to our home in Belleville, Ontario. Open Arms is a wonderful group of people who coordinate and drive "legs" of the route, picking up and dropping dogs off to start their new life. Gabby came from a breeder who took better care of their dogs than most, although their main purpose was to produce puppies. Gabby is a friendly little girl who is 6 years old and 6 pounds. She seems to like other dogs and ignored a cat where she stayed overnight. She has lots to learn but has already used the pee pad. She seems to like to be outside and has explored the yard. Stay tuned for updates on how Gabby is doing.
