We are starting to get back into a routine...

Izzy brought a lot of disruption to the household for the first couple of days. He is settling in now and not bothering the "girls" as much as he learns to leave them when they tell him off. I managed to get his extremely long fur trimmed way down and give him a bath on Monday afternoon. He now looks like a dog instead of a mop and must feel better with all the mats gone. He is starting to learn to listen to us and does try, although his puppy exuberance sometimes gets the better of him. He loves to give the nicest puppy kisses!
Brooke is more relaxed around Izzy now and will get onto the large dog bed with him.
We went to the dog park yesterday and today. Brooke does very well with all the dogs... she allows herself to be sniffed and will sniff back and generally just watches the goings on. Izzy on the other hand was intimidated by the big dogs the first day, hiding between my legs and yelping when they came too close. This was a surprise as he is dominant with our smaller dogs. Today he did much better. There were more small dogs and after a few minutes he was tolerating the couple of larger dogs and off and running with the smaller ones.
Izzy will soon be ready to list for adoption.
