We picked Brooke up at noon today. We have a lot of firsts with this girl. Brooke has to be the most well balanced of all the mill dogs we have brought home, the stinkiest (but that will soon be remedied) and the heaviest. We thought we were getting a very small petite Shih Tzu but Brooke tips the scales at over 16 lbs. I am sure that with an increasing regimen of exercise and smaller meals Brooke will get back her trim svelte figure that I am sure she had before having litter after litter of pups.
Brooke is curious about her surroundings, plays with toys, loves the other dogs in our house and comes to an outstretched hand. Her sweet personality is already starting to shine through.
Brooke has lots to learn, but I think she is going to do very well. We are working on house training, and she has already walked around the back yard on a leash, and stepped up the one step into the back door.
