It has been 8 days since the last update and Cali has finished her medications for the eye ulcer, which has healed nicely and there should not be any damage to her sight. She has dry eye which was not being treated and was the cause of the ulcer. She will probably be on an eye ointment for life to prevent further issues. Cali wore the cone of shame along with her fur sister here for over a week and did well with it, but it was evident that she was happy when it came off. She loves to run in the back yard and can see much better without the cone.
Cali's tail wags most of the time and she seems to be a happy little girl. She has started to take toys out of the basket and play with them and has the cutest head tilts when we coo or make high pitched sounds. She has started to follow us around the house and sleeps in bed with us at night. Cali is making steady progress and will be soon ready to find her furever home.
