Cali is coming along quickly. She mastered our 3 steps by the end of the second day- both up and down. She is very sweet and gentle. By day 3 she was starting to feel frisky and has started to run and show some playfulness. Cali has an ucler on her right cornea most likely from dry eye which she has been diagnosed with. She will need drops/ointment in both eyes most likely for life for the dry eye. Cali will see our vet next Tuesday to have the ulcer checked and hopefully the eye treatments for that will be done with. We chose to use a cone until the appointment to make sure she didn't scratch at her eyes. She slept in a crate the first night she was here, but once the cone went on the next morning, she found it hard to turn around in the crate, so she joined us on the bed and has behaved very well.
