Update on Jody

Jody has been with us for almost 3 months now. During this time she has slowly progressed from a very timid, fearful girl to a more trusting and happy girl. Jody has learned to walk on a leash, do 3 stairs up and down, get on and off the couch and bed. She rarely has accidents in the house if let out every 2-4 hours. In the last couple of weeks she has started to show signs of separation anxiety when we go out. She barks and pants. She tries to get out of the crate or room where we have left her. We are working on this and giving her more freedom is helping, but she clearly needs someone home most of the time. She loves attention and now wants pets and comes over to receive them and of course approaching her on the couch results in a flop to the back so you can give her a good belly rub. Jody is a very gentle sweet girl,
August 7, 2019 Update: We have been able to leave Jody sucessfully when we go out, by giving her the run of the house except the bedrooms and she does not bark now and although she does not relax on the couch she is calm, but keeps an eye on the door for our return.
