I picked Charlie up one week ago and he seems to be doing fairly well. His skin is looking better, but he still has to grow a lot of fur to fill in the bald spots. I am watching his left ear closely and he will probably need a trip to the vet's. Charlie is eating well and enjoying some homemade dog treats. We have been able to leave his cone and boots off for short periods when we can watch him to be sure he doesn't scratch and do any more damage to his fragile skin. He enjoys his twice daily walks and plays for short times. He is a very sweet dog!

A break from wearing his cone!
I did take Charlie to the vets today and he does have an ear infection and is now on drops twice a day for the next week. Hopefully this will take care of the ear scratching. The vet thought his skin problem was allergic dermatitis due to his flea infestation and told me to continue what I was doing as his skin was healing well. He also remarked on the great disposition Charlie has, but we already knew that!!!
