I picked up Charlie, an owner surrender dog today. He is a sweet gentle dog and seems to be very quiet. We have not heard a bark or whine yet. Poor Charlie was so infested with fleas that he has lost a lot of hair from his hind end and has some open scratch marks. It looks so sore! He is wearing a cone to prevent licking and chewing and we found a pair of booties for his hind feet that will hopefully keep him from scratching more skin open. He will need a few weeks of healing!
